Eliza Haywood and Empire: Exposing Empire in the Female Spectator

In my presentation on Dr. Catherine Ingrassia’s Eliza Haywood and Empire panel today at 4:50 EST, I will be discussing my research using the digital critical edition of Eliza Haywood’s Female Spectator, vol. 3, no. 14, letter 1, “The Mad Exploit She Had Undertaken,” which I recently published on The Warrior Women Project (and taught fall 2020 in my English Literature after 1700 course). Below are my slides/digital handout re: my paper, “‘Equipped Herself in the Habit of a Man’: Exposing Empire in the Female Spectator.”
